He invited her to exhibit her work to tour with them in Russia. She was later commissioned by the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center, The Boston Ballet, Ballet Rotor and by the late Rudolph Nureyev.

In 1991 Donna launched a line of ceramic dinnerware and accessories. This work reflects her well-known water lily and Koi series. Neiman Marcus and Drexel Heritage were the first to sell the line. To Pinter, life in the pond and the road are symbols of our personal transformation, the changes of our outward action and appearances by our inner self. A spiritual transformation that will lead her one day to feel the freedom and sureness of purpose that her early dancers showed.

Today, the artist returns to her first love “painting” as her primary medium. Pinter's love of the water has been an ever-present element of her work since the early 80’s. Her paintings of Koi fish glide through the darkened depth of the lily ponds.
