He invited her to exhibit her work to tour with them in
Russia. She was later commissioned by the Metropolitan Opera

the late Rudolph Nureyev.
In 1991 Donna launched a line of ceramic dinnerware and
accessories. This work reflects her well-known water lily
and Koi series. Neiman Marcus and Drexel Heritage were the
first to sell the line. To Pinter, life in the pond and the
road are symbols of our personal transformation, the changes
of our outward action and appearances by our inner self. A
spiritual transformation that will lead her one day to feel
the freedom and sureness of purpose that her early dancers
showed.
Today, the artist returns to her first love “painting” as
her primary medium. Pinter's love of the water has been an
ever-present element of her work since the early 80’s. Her
paintings of Koi fish glide through the darkened depth of
the lily ponds.
